Night before hair wash:
· Coat hair with Amla oil, Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
Note: Focus on the ends and ‘middles’ of your hair and ‘hotspots’, (where your hair holder would normally go, for example).
· Comb hair carefully (I only comb before I wash my hair – and I only do it when the hair is oil coated – see below)
Now massage and scritch the scalp with the pads/nails on your hand and apply Shikakai Oil
as a scalp oil. This will increase your growth rate also.
Day of Hair Wash:
· Using approximately 1 ½-2 teaspoons of ShikAmla Powder, (3 teaspoons for very long hair) place into a tub/bowl (that can sustain heat) and add half a cup full of hot water, and half a cup full of cold water. Stir well, until all powder particles have melted.
· Whilst this is ‘brewing,’ massage your scalp with circular action, with the pads and nails of the hand. This should be done rhythmically, increasing the speed and decreasing every 1-minute – time yourself. You can use Shikakai oil to do this, to increase follicle stimulation (the scalps version of pores as such).
· Now proceed to comb out your hair with a wide toothed comb, very steadily and thoroughly.
Step: 1
Step into the shower, or hand head over basin, and rinse the hair with plain water for 10 minutes. Water should be hot enough for you to handle well. NOT scorching.
Step: 2
Using the ShikAmla Powdered Tonic, pour this over your hair, focusing on the roots and very ends of the hair. Do not manipulate the hair once this is poured.
Step: 3
Leave the hair still for approximately 1 minute.
Step: 4
Then rinse out for 10-15 minutes with plain, warm-hot water. Now use a good conditioner and run it through your hair - wash it out straight away - then repeat, this time put an aluminum foil cap on your head for 5-10 minutes (I recommend Tresemme Thermal Recovery)
Step: 5
Rinse out with super cool-cold water.Pat with towel, add a good leave in (I recommend Keracare leave in), and then some Avo’Coco Crème focusing on the ends of the hair
Step: 6
Air dry – or blow-dry (only blow-dry every 3 weeks maximum – its preferred to not blow dry at all) – do not comb the hair if you proceed to air dry – repeat - do not comb the hair again if you proceed to air dry! This is very important – air dried hair must not be manipulated with a comb until the next wash date.
